【摘要】:Thetestmethodsdescribedcanbeusedtoevaluateacceptabilityoffabricribbonweldsonacomparativebasis.Some,thoughnotall,testsmayalsobeusedformanufacturingcontrol.Thewelddurabilitytestisexclusivelyformanufacturingcontrol,sinceitinvolvesin-processtesting.Usersmaychoosetoperformanyorallofthetestsdescribed,dependinguponresultsdesiredandequipmentavailable.1.1Thesetestmethodsareforevaluatingribbonweldsinfabriccartridgesthatdonotcontainendlesswovenloops.Thesetestmethodsapplytoribbonweldsmadewithultrasonicenergybutdonotcoverspecial-purposeweldssuchasoverlaporbuttwelds.Physicalcharacteristicsofribbonweldsandtestperformancemaybeusedtopredictacceptablefunctionandprintinglifeoftheweldinthefinishedcartridge.Thesetestmethodsaresuitablebothforcomparativeevaluationsbyend-usersandformanufacturingcontrolwithintheribbonproductindustry.1.2Sincetypesofribbonweldsandequipmentvary,similarfabriccartridgesmaynotcontainthesametypeofribbonweld.Anyevaluationcomparingproductsfromdifferentsourcesshouldnotethis.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
