【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddefinesanotation,ExtendedBNF,forspecifyingthesyntaxofalinearsequenceofsymbols.Itdefinesboththelogicalstructureofthenotationanditsgraphicalrepresentation.ExtendedBNFhasapplicationsinthedefinitionofpro-grammingandotherlanguages,aswellasinotherformaldefinitions,forexamplethecommandstoanoperatingsystem,orthepreciseformatofdataandresults.ExamplesofExtendedBNFaregiveninclause8.NOTE—Likemanyothernotations,ExtendedBNFcanstillbemisused;thusitdoesnotpreventsomeonefromtryingtodefineanunparsableorambiguouslanguage.
